Valley Oak Villas

Multi-Family - Residential

Napa Valley, CA

2003 - 2006

Architecture: Healthy Buildings MCM

Napa, CA

Valley Oak Villas is a 46 residential unit development in the Westwood neighborhood of Napa. The multi-family project is intended to serve the local workforce and provide entry-level homes for first-time home buyers. All homes are two- to three-bedroom townhomes, averaging less than 1,150 sq ft/ unit.

In Addition, 29 of the Homes include auxiliary or “granny” units to address the rising need of additional housing in the county.

Several common areas with grill, benches and a children’s play area are intended to strengthen interactions between the families.

Build in 2003 & 2006, the development was conceived as a project to push the envelope of green design, since many sustainable certifications were at its infancy. We adapted the early framework of LEED and Build it green certification to determine the direction of green building technology.
